1. Location of collection: Backyard
2. Date of collection: July, 11, 2021
3. Habitat of collection: Suburban Neighborhood
4. Length: About 7 millimeters
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Reddish brown with a shiny gaster.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: One petiole node, oval shaped
9. Nuptial flight time and date: July 11 before 4:00

How would I start a colony? (I’ve never raised a social parasite before)

How would I start a colony? (I’ve never raised a social parasite before)
get her callows, which are light colored workers that are newly emerged. They can be found under rocks that have lasius colonies. Once she has accepted a few callows, give the colony some pupae that the new workers can open.
