What are the defining features of Myrmecocystus mexicanus?  How would someone tell the difference between this species and something like a Camponotus fragilis?

Currently keeping Tetramorium Immigrans and Camponotus Pennsylvanicus in THA mini hearths.  I also have a couple Prenolepis Imparus queens in test tubes.

Compare their maxillary palps. They're very long in Myrmecocystus. That is one feature that is usually helpful when distinguishing Myrmecocystus.
