1. Location (on a map) of collection: northern Maryland
2. Date of collection: July 6 2021
3. Habitat of collection: blacklight
4. Length (from head to gaster): 6mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: dark red with a black gastor
6. Distinguishing characteristics:

8. Nest description:
9. Nuptial flight time and date: caught at 5:10 am

Definitely pheidole of some kind. Could it be P. dentata?

Possibly but her gastor seems larger.

Possibly but her gastor seems larger.

Gaster size can also be affected by how much food they have eaten, just keep that in mind.
