4. Length (from head to gaster):  5 mm.

Same species? They flew like 12 days apart and look relatively familiar to each other.

Keep in mind my lighting is also pretty poor, making her look darker.

Uhhmm I found what appears to be the same species today, here near Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Found 6 upon arriving home, in my pool at 5:30 pm est
Length 6-7 mm
Reddish brown color
Two spots on the outer sides of her wings

Hey Drew, maybe it is just me, but that queen looks parasitic, with the mandibles and gaster.

Uhhmm I found what appears to be the same species today, here near Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Found 6 upon arriving home, in my pool at 5:30 pm est
Length 6-7 mm
Reddish brown color
Two spots on the outer sides of her wings

 

I highly doubt that is the same species considering how many species of Pheidole there are, and the fact that you are on the other side of the continent and much much further north.

Not parasitic, just the typical Pheidole look.

I find it interesting that many North American Pheidole species have such small queens.  Pheidole seem to almost exclusively found colonies in an independent and fully claustral manner, so I would expect to see bulkier queens.
