I've decided to start posting weekly ant videos on YouTube.

This is the first. It's called "Organized Ants"

Enjoyed it! Pogonomyrmex are cute, and I think I saw a callow worker, the yellow worker, at 0:34.

Where did you get that nest?

For another ant YouTube... I would LOVE a channel that just posts videos of just the ants for like... 20 minutes or so.   I think that would be SO relaxing and interesting to watch.   Just set a camera and go about your day.
There are so many short or medium length videos discussing either the setup or the species or both.

Don't get me wrong, this was a great video, and I applaud your starting a new video series regarding ants in a somewhat crowded playing field.   I know, also, how annoying it is to get suggestions from people regarding your YouTube channel, as everyone who watches my own channel thinks they are going to innovate it (honestly some suggestions are good-the ones that just discuss production values or how to simply add to that) but I would personally LOVE to just watch a 15 minute or so video of JUST the ants doing their own thing, unedited.    Possibly boring to the general public but to me it would be akin to a video where it's just fish or just a fireplace.   Soothing and relaxing.

Great video. Would you recommend this nest? The description said concrete in one place and 3d printed somewhere else so wondering if you could give additional info since you have firsthand experience. Thx.

Those are pretty good and I use them for a few sp. It's a big large for lasius, but probably good for medium or large ants.

Ok this one is about Pogonomyrmex trying to work together and how... well that's not always how it works. No sound on this one, but captions.

Another humorous one. This is based on footage of a callow young worker that kept on trying to "help" with tasks around the nest, but her sisters would just drag her back to the egg pile or nursery.

I thought it was really funny and cute. I guess ants are born ready to go. But many the older workers don't appreciate someone with soft mandibles trying to do "real work" ... if ants had human like thoughts this is how I think it would have gone down. (with music. )

I got around to making another longer video, basically reworking some timelapse footage so that it told more of a story. I'm really proud of this one. I has some music and narration. Let me know if you enjoy it.
