Veromessor anderei I think is how you spell it but that is my guess.

1. Location of collection: West Los Angeles

2. Date of collection: 6/27/21
3. Habitat of collection: In a dirt patch in the middle of a field
4. Length: 6mm-7mm
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Black head, maroon thorax, black abdomen. Rough head, smooth thorax and abdomen
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Long, raised petiole with one node
7. Anything else distinctive: N/A
8. Nest description: Built under a patch of grass

9. Nuptial flight time and date: N/A
