I had my tetra for 3 years they were my first ever colony then they escaped....

The colony seems reluctant to use the added mini hearth. (They forage in the foraging area, and dump sand in the nest, that's about it.) Likely going to just order them a Nucleus for tiny species at this point.

You heat up the new mini hearth, that might incourage them.

They’ll find it. From the looks of that photo, they still have plenty of space in that mini-hearth. Those huge caves are like a cathedral compared to their actual nest structure. What you’ll really need is more outworld space soon.

Colony is still doing well. Because of how crazy fast they grow, I no longer have them on a heat cable. They are just at room temps, doesn't seem to bug them.

Mine seem to be doing fine off heat. (Haven't been on heat for weeks now, brood still doing well at various stages.) If they seem like they aren't doing well, I'll put them back on heat.

Using less heat seems to have these gals slowed down a bit. Working out well so far.

Put this colony back on heat. They are living well inside both the XL mini hearth, and the mini hearth. Although the queen is always in the xl mini hearth.

This species despite being highly invasive seems like a very fun looking species to keep. Can't wait to hop on the T. immigrans train this summer. I'm being sarcastic. I gotta say I'm loving this journal though because despite them being immigrans you make them very interesting.

This species despite being highly invasive seems like a very fun looking species to keep. Can't wait to hop on the T. immigrans train this summer. I'm being sarcastic. I gotta say I'm loving this journal though because despite them being immigrans you make them very interesting.

I'm kinda happy with them. Just know that they eat EVERYTHING. Which is a problem if you overfeed them. I need to order them a new home. Just haven't decided what yet. I appreciate the compliment, I try to make my journals easy to follow.

This colony grew large enough that I finally ordered them a THA Labyrinth. Started the move this morning. The queen and a bunch of workers have already moved over.

My colony is still doing quite well. It's hard to see in the first photo, but the Queen is alive and well. Covered in her workers.
