1. Location (on a map) of collection: South Bay Area, Califoria
2. Date of collection: 6/25/21
3. Habitat of collection: Suburban Backyard
4. Length (from head to gaster): 2 mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Brown
6. Distinguishing characteristics: One pietole node.
7. Distinguishing behavior: Found in a big colony active during the day.
8. Nest description: I could not find it.

I am bad at ant IDs, particularly worker ids. So I thought I should know the species of ants living right in my backyard to help get a better grasp of identifying ants as a whole. At first I was thinking Linepithema humile, but under a macro-lense it strikes me more as a Myrmicinae, of which Argentine Ants are not. Any help will be appreciated.
