Body:
1. Location of collection: Indianapolis, Indiana.  Along hiking trails in local park forest area

2. Date of collection: 6/19/2021
3. Habitat of collection : wooded forest along hiking trail
4. Length: Queen size 7-8 mm  worker size ~4mm
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture : Red coloration, small and thin, long antennae
6. Distinguishing characteristics : captured two queens and two workers with eggs from a small nest under a leaf
7. Anything else distinctive: Polygenic, capture 2 queens from the same nest
8. Nest description Small nest with 10-20 workers under a leaf. I noticed a worker carrying brood to the leaf. I tried to collect more workers but they scattered while I captured the queens

9. Nuptial flight time and date: unknown

I captured two queens of this species and have in separate test tubes with one worker each. If I move them back into the same tube will they still get along? It has been a few days since capture. I suspect this species is polygenic but I put them in separate tubes until I get a species ID. Both queens layed eggs on the first or second night in the tube.
