Found on my porch in Lakewood Co. at 7pm 6/17/21. About 2 cm long and black. My best guess is camponautus Pennsylvanicus...(sp.)

Looks like it.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

Camponotus pennsylvanicus? In Colorado? Unlikely. It's more likely to be another subgenus Camponotus, like modoc or herculeanus.

The lack of red legs, or any red coloration whatsoever, along with lack of pubescence along the gaster is what led me away from those two options. And it is definitely not laevigatus, way too dull.

I think C. modoc is most likely. I've heard in the rockies the queens can have very dull legs. C. pennsylvanicus is not known from Colorado.

I agree. When I lived there I never saw C. pennsylvanicus and this queen does have a very dull red hue on its legs, but you can pretty much only tell on its feet.
