I went anting today and i saw many things a solenopsis nest a odontomschus nest and a giant paratrechina nest i collected 3 queens from
It’s not worth it trying to have an educated conversation on here. How big is the colony? I also recently captured an Odontomachus colony(I seriously need to stop collecting Odontomachus colonies and queens, I have 10-20 queens and it is a pain feeding). My new colony also has had deaths, which is common in large colonies. I have found many wild trap jaws with only one jaw, probably due to colony fighting.
Also, my Odontomachus will drink pooled nectar every few days, so try that.
i have a new myrmica journalWelp. I tried to help the journal, but oh well. Any tips on finding journals for educated conversations? Maybe I will avoid ones that are incorrectly titled…It’s not worth it trying to have an educated conversation on here. How big is the colony? Turns out while i was banned a cocoon got dark. Then next day i checked in and it was a nanitic. I have two workers right now
Great job. You may be a bit disrespectful, but I'm glad you've managed to do something you've been trying to do for a long time now.

Posting the same thing 5 times is not going to get your post approved any faster.
Provide more context before saying anything or asking for help. Probably got formic acid all over itself (assuming you mean Camponotus). Don’t bother or disturb them too much.Ant worker having seizure. Help

This journal goes hard lol Straight thriller.
Despite this journal being a mental hazard to myself I will be willing to answer the questions. While we can't be sure what's wrong with his worker, I believe like bmb1bee said that it's possibly got formic acid sprayed. But usually, they won't do this is the problem for me. Something that's fairly common at times is that the worker came out of the cocoon incorrectly. In the cocoon if I remember what someone told me before, they said that there's a fairly thin skin that forms around the ant which isn't the cocoon and sometimes it won't come off entirely. I've seen this kind of thing with one of my workers in my Dual queen C. pennsylvanicus colony. But we can't be sure about anything without seeing it.

Yeah, agreed every now and then there is a larvae (in my colonies) that will not even spin a cocoon. Also yes if you disturb the ants too much formic acid will be sprayed and might end badly... they will be injured

The formic acid issue happened with a couple of my Camponotus us-ca02 workers when I made the mistake of keeping the colony in a cotton-plugged test tube (they need an outworld when they get workers).
