No, this is Pheidole.
Would be easier to get it down to species if format was properly followed.
No Temnothorax in Cali have heads that wide compared to the rest of their bodies. that's the easiest way for me to distinguish them.
Go to the full posti live two hours north of the bay area and i have been seeing molesta or temnothroax here to. They have been near lights.
It is probably Temnothorax. I'll need to memorize the species there...

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
Ah, I see.No, this is Pheidole.
