Hope she makes it, ants can take a while to "revive" after being seemingly drowned. I've had T. immigrans queens take a couple hours to start moving again. At the very least you've got an amazing specimen now.

If she does perk back up then you can be sure that I’ll give her a journal of her own. I’ll admit I had my doubts at first that this second queen was the same species but if you look at the photos of today’s queen and yesterday’s side by side you can see they are the same, if not very similar. Happy that I at least found another :)

They appear to be flying, so you should try to get as many queens as you can over the next few days. These guys are polygynous, so you can put all the queens you catch together in a single tube. In the mean time, I’d look for Tetramorium immigrans callows and pupae so you have hosts ready when you catch more.

I’ve got a fairly large Tetramorium immigrans colony in my backyard under a rock, and they have lots of pupae and callows that they like to keep under there. So that’s good. The second queen I found never recovered. However I did see that her wings were gone when I checked up on her, which I thought was odd since she still looks as dead as a doorknob. Good news is my macro camera arrived and I was able to take some better photos of her. (Attached to post) I’ll keep looking for these gals for the next week or so, hopefully I’ll get lucky.

Edit: grammar
