Found 6-2
Dark brown and fast. Found under a pine tree in Denver Colorado at 3:30 pm. Just want to double check that this is a major and not a queen.

We are gonna need pics with the worker not climbing the container (top down view) however I'm gonna make a guess and say camponotus vicinus.

It is indeed a major and not a queen. A frontal view face picture and side picture can make it very easy for people to identify, so if you have the means to get those pictures we can get it identified for you.
