Idk these look like bicarinata for sure.
How many workers was in the colony upon collection? I don't believe pheidole would be at 1 major and only 4 minors seems unrealistic.
My favorite queens/colony’s:
Pheidole Tysoni, Selonopis Molesta, Brachymyrmex Depilis, Tetramorium Immagrians, Prenolepis Imparis, Pheidole Bicirinata

Yeah I second this, hopefully every member of the colony was collected
Edit: grammar

Nylanderia parvula - 4 queen polygynous colony with larvae + devoloping workers
Camponotus pennsylvanicus - 1 queen with 2 cocoons, and a few larvae and eggs
Tetramorium immigrans - 3 colonies, first nanetics!
Formica pallidifulva - 1 queen, 8-10 eggs
Tetramorium atratulum - 1 queen with roughly 17 host workers
Pheidole pilifera - 1 queen! recently caught!
Solenopsis Molesta - 2 queens so far, polygenous set-up

I only lifted up one rock, and there wasn't many workers. A lot went underground. So I only got some workers, the queen, and one major.
By the time I got my test tube out, I was only able to get the queen, and a few workers. It wasn't that big of a colony to begin with.
But I always get the queen first before she can get away.
Next time i'd recommend digging up the rest to insure you get all of them as those workers are doomed. or use an aspirator you can look up how to make a DIY one. makes sure not to aspirator formic acid spraying ants as it can cause permanent damage.

Ok. And there is 8-10 workers in there. I'll get a clear count later.
Around 8 minors, 1 major, plenty of eggs, and a queen.
Best to refrain from collecting any colonies in this way. It almost always ends badly for all involved.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to collect a colony without an aspirator.
He means collecting a wild colony in general I'm pretty sure.

Well I don't agree with that if that's what he meant. It's fine if you collect wild colonies as long as you do it right. He means collecting a wild colony in general I'm pretty sure.Best to refrain from collecting any colonies in this way. It almost always ends badly for all involved.

If you know what you're doing and use the right equipment (also be prepared to spend several hours digging) there's nothing too bad about collecting wild colonies. It is best however to refrain from collecting massive colonies and too many of one species.

I agree. One thing I'd like to mention is that collecting wild colonies doesn't always mean hours of digging. Some species nest near the surface or have their queens under rocks. If you know what you're doing and use the right equipment (also be prepared to spend several hours digging) there's nothing too bad about collecting wild colonies. The colony was not massive at all. I bet there was only 17 workers under that rock.
Anyways...update on my colony: They are doing great! I am surprised on how much the queen is laying. At least 4 big piles of eggs. Hopefully this colony does good..
I wanted this to be a journal of my colony, not a place where people can post about if it's a good idea to collect wild colonies with aspirators.
When should I give them a proper outworld. They are at about 8 workers right now.

When it becomes to hard to feed them in their tube without escapees
