Camponotus nearcticus i think. I would say novae but 1cm is way too small for them.

Nearcticus comes in orange? The ones I found were only black.

they have many different color forms.

On the other thread, it has been pointed out that this could be C. hyatti rather than C. nearcticus.

Yeah it does look more like it with the coloring.
