I currently have two Pogonomyrmex subdentatus colonies for sale. These are from queens caught in November and started to heat early this year. I have posted on this forum in the past about my difficulties with this species and I have had some workers die in the past; I've solved this by feeding a varied diet of Kentucky Bluegrass seeds, Poppy seeds and insects and have transitioned some into a dirt setup. They've been thriving since. One colony has 5 workers, the other has 8, they both have a lot of brood.

I have a third queen that I only started heating a month ago and has just had her first nanitics, I might put her up for sale later once the nanitics harden up (last picture). All sales must be within California in accordance with state law, shipping is $8 with USPS flat rate box. They will come in test tubes. I can meet up in the SF Bay Area to sell as well.

Price?

I might buy, but was as well looking for the price.

I'm currently taking offers since there isn't really a market value for me to go off of since P. subdentatus colonies are quite uncommon. Feel free to message me with an offer.

It's unprofessional to come into somebody's for sale thread and berate the quality of their ant colonies. These colonies were not heated until January and I have made husbandry adjustments to ensure that they are thriving. If you think they aren't good colonies you're free to buy them elsewhere.

Plus wouldn't you also be telling the person about the colony to? I also went on to private and told him about how you made the colony get going again and are healthy now.

Pogonomyrmex are notoriously hard if not impossible to keep alive without adequate heat, so the pacing of the colony does line up with when he started heating.

And buglover was right, if you want to "warn" someone do so in private messages

Pognomyrmex subdentatus are one of the most difficult Pogonomyrmex in Cali to found, they love killing their brood randomly and won't even found using pleometrosis like other Pogonomyrmex. These colonies are perfectly healthy and rather fast growing. Pretty sure buglover actually has one of the biggest ones from the fall flights, very healthy queens. Good luck on sales!
