Hello,this is my first post on the forum. i caught a lot of these queens the other day and i was wondering about there care. i do know there is a care sheet on another species in this genus but i'm not sure how much that differs from this one.

Great find! Care should be basically the same as N. faisonensis. In fact, this species displaces the native faisonensis where it has invaded, so I assume they inhabit the same type of conditions. The most important thing for these is to feed them a lot.

oh okay, when you say feed them alot do you mean like every day or every 3 days-a week with alot of food?

Every day with smaller portions should work better, it gives the ants time to finish their meals and will likely result in less wasted food.

Yes, feed every day. For reference, I feed my mature N. vividula colony one medium cricket or two mealworms every day. I often give them a pre-dinner with some bits of meat or egg from my meals as well. Fat ants are happy ants.
