Is this normal for Camponotus? I've had other species of Camponotus lay the same pink colored eggs, but the next batch of eggs had the usual Camponotus egg color (yellowish cream color).

Mine do this as well -- C. decipiens and C. texanus. Very interesting observation that is also happens with Camponotus in Malaysia as well! I'm not sure what causes this

Out of all the ants I've ever keep, only Camponotus laid such pink eggs, all others laid white or cream colored eggs.

Camponotus will lay eggs that vary from yellow to orange to pink, it's normal.

How can you make this post and not show me pink eggs?

I know the pic is blurry, she's a bit freaked out by the light so I had to take it quickly. Those little light pink things are the eggs.

They really are pink!

I'm sorry, I didn't know she was still founding. Light isn't good.
