I have a Camponotus Sansabeanus queen who will have her first set of workers in a few months. At first, I will keep her and her new workers in her 16x150mm test tube. this will work for a few weeks/months, but after I start seeing more workers (around the 10-20 number) what formicaria is best for them? I have a aus ants ytong founding nest, which has housed a Pogonomyrmex colony in the past, but I noteced that the workers where able to chew at the ytong and crumble it away because it is so brittle. I did some more research when i came across TarHeel ants, and I just can't get enough of how awesome and beautiful formicaria are. I instantly ordered a mini hearth, and can't wait to use it. Any thoughts?

Basically everyone on Formiculture will tell you Tarheel Ants is the best, and I agree with them. A Mini Hearth is an excellent option.

Tarheels Ants formicaria are expressly made for Camponotus. Fortunately they work great for all other types of ants as well.
