This is really weird, my trap jaw ants are rejecting mealworms and now, they are starting to reject mealworms too. How odd.

They want variety in their food i think

I think so, Colobopsis live in a place with lots of things that they can eat, they are also starting to reject sugar water (both brown and white sugar).

It's been a long time since I updated this journal due to some issues with my trap jaw colony but anyways all the pupae have eclosed (in total seven workers) and some eggs are about to hatch into larvae.

Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

YouTube: https://m.youtube.co...uKsahGliSH7EqOQ (It's pretty dead. Might upload again soon, don't expect my voice to sound the same though.)

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): Camponotus irritans inferior, Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, Nylanderia sp., Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

It's been so long and the eggs still haven't hatched yet and this is worrying me. Does anyone know why?

Everyone, the workers have mites!!!  :*(

Edit: This is the official last post of this journal since the colony died about 6 months ago from the mites and the workers' old age.
