I've been adding a small amount of seeds every few days. A few small fish food flakes every day, and the occasional fruit fly here and there. They aren't know for being great about removing insect garbage, so I'm hesitant to give them too many at this point in their growth. I don't want a mold outbreak on my hands.

ugh. I don't want to be mean or anything but, Ants aren't fish. Fish flakes contain all kinds of weird nutrients so you guys who are feeding your acromyrmex and regular ants fish food should stop because that isn't really good for them. They need regular food.

He's been feeding the fish flakes to them for quite a while alongside nuts, since they haven't dropped dead, we can infer that at worst they are gaining nothing from it, and at best its nutritious food. Also, acromyrmex do not eat the fish flakes, they cut up the flakes and feed it  to their fungus, and if the fungus accepts them, it's all the better.

This colony loves the fish food flakes, even over their normal dandelion seeds. (I've also been trying other seeds from a bird seed mix and seeing if they like them or not.) They do get very excited when I give them fruit files too however.

I've seen serval people that give their pogonomyremex colonies fish food flakes. With seemingly no major issues. I don't feed any of my other colonies fish food.

I’ve fed my tapinoma colony fish flakes they love them and will feed them to there larvae and many generations have hatched and nothing has gone wrong, there main ingredient is shrimp so I honestly don’t know how that is bad.

I mainly mean it's bad for Acromyrmex. Because Acromyrmex are not fish and they need all the nutrients from leaves not from fish flakes.

Uh, I have only seen 3 ever since I received the colony. 2 were from when they transferred nests and didn't enclose properly. One didn't enclose properly this week, but from my understanding sometimes this just happens.

Starting to think this colony may outgrow their fallen fortress sooner than I thought. About to have a huge population boom. (These photos are from yesterday.)

They've been getting some fruit flies occasionally. Daily fish food flakes, and plenty of seeds. They also have sunburst ant nectar they can drink.
