There have been a few threads around here that briefly discuss if the ~100 termites (Reticulitermes flavipes) ordered from Carolina Scientific (https://www.carolina...f-100/143736.pr) can form a stable colony -- I couldn't find a definitive consensus though. Carolina for its part claims that they cannot. It seems to me they would develop secondary reproductives though? I don't see why they wouldn't, but I did see some comments on Formiculture saying 100 is not enough. Anyone have any further insight on this?

Also, is anyone selling Reticulitermes flavipes (or really any other termite species that is not Zootermopsis sp)? I would much rather give my money to a hobbyist than a faceless corporation. I sent a message to @AntsExodus, but they have not been on in a few months so who knows if/when they will receive the message

I have about 40 of them so I’m hoping that’s enough, probably not though
