I am fairly certain that the species is Tapinoma Sessile, but I could also be wrong so a confirmation would nice.

1. Location of collection

Caught the queen in suburban area in Connecticut.

2. Date of collection

I don't remember exactly but around June.

3. Habitat of collection

Lightly wooded area.

4. Length

The queen is 5mm.

The workers are 2mm.

5. Coloration

All the ants are the same shade of black.

It does indeed appear to be T. sessile.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
