Well...this is helpful.

What about on a scale of 1 to 10?

Thanks for testing it out for us?

Thanks... good to know. If I go to the south and find those army ants, then I will make sure not to touch them. Is the sting worse than Pogonomyrmex or Solenopsis sp?

I can guarantee a 1 is not worse than a Pogonomyrmex.

Hey drew what is worse? Pogonomyrmex or Solenopsis? I have only felt Solenopsis stings, and they didn't hurt to much..

Pogonomyrmex stings are like a wasp sting. if I'm not mistaken, I think they are the worst ant stings in North America.

Pogonomyrmex definitely have the worst single sting of any U. S. . However when you talk about mulitiple stings at one time the Solenopsis win.  Miles. I have been stung one time by the Temnothorax, although I do have a friend who claims I am totally insane.  I have managed to get stung by S. molesta as well.

I believe Pogonomyrmex are a three and Solenopsis are a 1. Aren't Paraponera like 12?

Edit: Never mind. I thought I recalled it being a scale from 1-12.
