You know how the water will get that pink bacteria? My tube did that.

I transfered my girls to a new one but they have have insert thing that you put into the tube.

Well, the new tube is turning red. I realized the insert must have brought the bacteria over.

What do I do?.

I think the best thing to do is a new tube with no insert. Then just out the insert (no tube) in the outworld with the new tube and wait for them to move.

But I moved them so recently I'm scared it will stress them out too much.

Any advice?
How dangerous is the red bacteria?

Yeah, Tetramorium are tough. Don’t sweat it. You’ll be able to see them better now, too.

I couldn't dump them cause of the sand insert .. they just won't dump... too much stuff too hold. So I just put the insert and a new tube in the outworld together.

So far they're sitting in the open, uncovered insert rather than moving.

I'll try coveting the new tube and see if that encourages them.

Take a straw and blow on them a few times. They’ll get moving right quick.

I feel bad laughing but oh! My lightest breath was apparently very strong.

I got them out of the insert and they're currently hiding beneath their new tube. Someone will explore it later and hopefully move the queen in.

Lol

They better not think they're going to set up shop under the tube lol

I did like you said last time and put cotton and a straw in the tube to block the entrance because they really really don't like the open entrance.

I did the blow thing when I saw they were trying to build a sand wall in front of the insert rather than move.

Thank you for helping me

Just wondering, where did you get this colony from?

I bought the queen with a few workers from someone on the GAN project ... it was in the winter still.
Lol I kinda had a thought that it might have been you but I don't know lol
