Planing to build my own ant nest ( terrarium) any idea where we can get Ytong ???? And also I’m moving soon to another state . Any suggestions in how to transport colonies . I have a Casita formicarium from THA with tetramorium sp e . TIA

Ytong is not sold in the us but you can get fire brick which is the exact same thing just different name.

Technically you aren't allowed to bring colonies across state lines, you can probably sell the colony and buy another in your new state, tetramorium are pretty common

Sorry to pile on, but there’s no need for Ytong to make a great terrarium. To contain Tetramorium it will need to be a massive, massive tank. I learned this the hard way.

I’m sure Dallas won’t mind one more Queen.Technically you aren't allowed to bring colonies across state lines, you can probably sell the colony and buy another in your new state, tetramorium are pretty common

I have a 40g laying around from one corner to another . I have 3 years with my tetras and they r growing slow . Maybe I’m doing something wrong .Sorry to pile on, but there’s no need for Ytong to make a great terrarium. To contain Tetramorium it will need to be a massive, massive tank. I learned this the hard way.
