I expect that most of you have seen the youtube channel anthill art ( https://www.youtube....user/anthillart). They pour molten aluminum into ant mounds and get the cast. I think it is a good way to customize your formicarium based on your sp. For example, if I want to make a nest for Aphaenogaster then I would look at the casting for A. treatae that they have. It shows that Aphaenogaster sp. like large chambers.

 

 

 

From that conclusion I could either buy or make a nest accordingly.
