(After seeing Ants_Texas's Solenopsis invicta meme care sheet I decided to make one about....Argentine ants)
Scientific name: Linepithema conqueror
Common name: Argentine ants
Where they live: Everywhere.......
Queen size: 4-6 millimeters
Worker size: 2.2-2.8 millimeters
Natural habitat: Again, everywhere.
Circidian activity: Mostly day time but might come out at night.
Mating flight: They don't fly, the queens mate inside of the nest. I mean, there is only one big super colony of them.
Queen founding method: Right after they mate, they have colony of millions. (they stay in their nest and become a queen there).
Average time from egg to worker: A few weeks. But when 1 egg emerges, a hundred more do.
Recommended Temperature: They don't really care, but I'm sure they can live in any temperature.
Recommended Humidity: I really don't think they care. I mean they live in Argentine, then they come to Australia and the US they live just fine.
Preferred foods: They will eat anything you give them or they find. Even other ants. they will happily go into cabinet an into your honey jar and drink that too.
Hibernation details: They do.
Escape barrier methods: I don't think there is any.
Difficulty rating: They are the easiest ant to take care off. And the only as they will escape and kill all your other ants.
Bite and/or sting rating: None, 0/10.
Special care or interesting notes: There is one giant supercolony and if you out a worker from japan and the US together, they will not fight.
