I found 2 of these queens wondering around while I was at Whitney Canyon Park Sunday night. I am very excited to keep this species because of how big they are.

Update 4-4-21
I found 1 more of these queens last night. The queens I found a week ago now have eggs.
Update 5-16-21
The most recent queen I caught ended up being infertile and died without laying any eggs. The other queens are doing great and have pupae and larvae.
Update 5-30-21
One of the queens got its first worker. The other queen just has 4 pupae and a few other brood pieces. Also I am aware of the name change of quercicola to laevigatus & laevigatus to laevissimus but there is no way I'm actually gonna call them their new name.
