So today there was a big nuptial flight of Prenolepis imparis in my yard today...... and I caught 7 queens!!!  I am so excited! 2 of the queens i caught don't have wings and were seen with the males attched to their gasters, so they are fertile. I have 5 others that have wings and I'm not so sure they are fertile. I am excited as I always wanted this species. I will update when they have eggs.

Well that was quick. 1 of the queens in my group of queens (3rd picture) has laid a few eggs. The 2 solo fertile queens still didn't lay, but I have hopes for them.

Good news everyone!! one of my queens layed 2 eggs!!

Oh this is exciting! I hope you're having fun ... how many are def fertile and laying?

2 of them I know are def fertile.

The others might be fertile but I am not 100% sure.

I have a 4 queens in a tube that I am trying to see if they will lay. 1 of the fertile queens are in there, but I don't know which one. They didn't lay yet though. I have a solo fertile queen that layed.

The queen that layed last time now has more eggs and 2 small larvea!!   i'm excited for nanitics in probably about a 2 weeks or so.

None of the other queens have layed.

It will probably take longer than 2 weeks. I think it can take up to 2 months to get workers with these guys.

I checked again a few min ago, and another one of my solo queens laid eggs! I'll update when there are larvea.

Good news! My quadro of 4 queens laid a ton of eggs! I caught another queen today also.

All of my 5 queens have at least 5 eggs. I'm leaving them alone for a while and hopefully in about a month they will have workers

Still waiting on eggs from mine. I'm wondering if I should heat them a little.

I keep mine at room temperature and they are doing fine.
