Are Home Depot plants safe for my vivarium?
It depends on whether they have harmful stowaways living in the medium or the plants themselves, quarantining plants usually works well to prevent this. It also depends on the the type of plants and the type of enclosure. Is this vivarium completely natural with many different creatures or is it simple? Is it a terrarium or a paludarium type build? I think the real question is whether your vivarium is safe for the plants.

how long would you quarantine plants for in order to have high confidence they are safe?
My Journals:
Personally, when I make enclosures for my reptiles I like to always wash the plant thoroughly and then quarantine it. You may notice a layer of what looks like dust on the plant, and that is usually fertilizer that can be harmful.
