Hullo there people of the website forums known as Formiculture,
See, I only know basic coding, and by basic I mean scratch blocks and print("") in Python. So what better way to spend my time in between classes than making a platformer video game!!! Haha, learning! See I contemplated whether or not this should be considered sh*itpost, but I decided I'll risk it.
The great thing about platforms is they are usually pixels, meaning I don't have to stress about making complicated animations on windows, in fact I might just be able to do this on my school chromebook. Anyways, I'm still working on the title screen (I thought the title was clever lol).
I'm probably going to make the music using Beepbox, the coding in Scratch, and the art in Pixilart. I'm also going to try to add in little scientific facts about ants throughout the gameplay, and if all goes well I might, just maybe, try to learn to code this into an actual game. And maybe I get burnout and never return. At least I still have pogchamp sprites.
Your's truly,
Chickalo of the United Nations of Eastborough (which is actually a thing I'm making for a fantasy work btw)
Also forgot to mention but I'll be posting updates here
