Here was her founding process

And here was her progress to the first hibernation

(I caught the queen April 5th 2020)

The last picture was taken during hibernation.

The queen has been shifting positions today as usual. I also included some of the ants eating fruit flies.

Edit: also I forgot to mention we now have 6 pupae and there’s a larvae that might be making her cocoon.

Update 4/8/21-4/9/21

More pupae have hatched since I last updated. Bringing the worker count to 33 as of today. More larvae have also pupated since I last updated. Some more recently. The queen also laid some more eggs. Egg batch looks the same size as last because some eggs hatched already from the last batches.

They also got a new outworld from tar heel ants. Yeah I know diy is better for outworlds but my mom doesn’t let me use Tupperware so instead she decided to buy me a 36 dollar outworld instead of 5 dollar Tupperware. Tbh idc it’s a nice outworld so I’m fine.

Update: 4-15-21

Here they are: https://imgur.com/gallery/zhEavgb

41 workers. In the last video is a pupae that might be their first major (if it is it’s gonna be small ofc) and they have about 4-6 pupae and larvae of similar size.

The queen is dying. She keeps falling over and can’t get up withought the workers. She’s moving aimlessly in circles.

Her time is limited and the colonies fate is sealed

That's such a bummer when the queen dies suddenly! May she rain supreme when she crosses over the rainbow bridge.
