A couple of new updates:

  • Formiculture can't seem to show all the pictures if they're in one post, so each subfamily now gets its own post
  • Been relabelling, IDing and sorting all my specimens (including the ones still in ethanol) so there should be a lot more on the way
  • Updated some pictures with better (i think) clarity + a shoddy little scale bar on the side
  • I no longer have some of these specimens either due to giving them away or damage, so not all photos will be updated
  • Changed up the labelling system so that it shows rough coordinates instead of just "Hong Kong" or vice versa

Enjoy :)

Running into the problem of too many photos per post again, might have to change it to 1 genus per post instead of 1 subfamily.

Updates:

  • Added:
  • Leptogenys binghamii (worker)
  • Leptogenys kitteli (worker)
  • Leptogenys peuqueti (worker)
  • Leptogenys diminuta (worker and male)
  • Diacamma cf. rugosum (worker)

Also thinking of changing photo backgrounds from pure white to a light grey to try and see if it helps with overexposure and the minute details (such as the hairs). What do you guys think?

Another thing: made this (roughly) to-scale diagram of some leptogenys worker
