It’s unfortunate I found this now…
Back in November, I made an ID mistake in founding so I now I believe I had two Brachymyrmex species founding a colony together… didn’t want to separate just in case I’d mistake was wrong(I didn’t officially ID) I accidentally left them in the area where I put heat loving species…(They were too close to heating pad)
What if you put two species in vinegar then in diapause together… they would form a very similar nest scent…(Maybe genus like Colobopsis and small Camponotus?)
Also, this isn’t multi genus, but I had an Odontomachus queen accept workers who were not near the nest for 3 days… could have been two different Odontomachus species though…
