I'm not super familiar with the different species of Tarantulas, but I would buy something that is either unusual (like colorful), or local to where I live (SF Bay Area).  If I had my choice and could only get one I would choose the variety that was local to CA.

Apparently there are 18 different varieties that are local here, so I have a large list to choose from lol.

Then Cyriocosmus is for you. They are considered the cutest tarantulas.

I wouldn’t get one before getting familiar with T’s first. I recommend watching a video or something about old world vs. new world tarantula as someone with more experience than me can probably explain them in greater detail. Many people recommend starting with new worlds as old worlds are... How do I put this? Often times psychotic beasts who will bolt across the room faster than you can react. If you didn’t already know/guess, P. metallica is an old world.

I’ll hopefully be selling the T vagans for about $10 a sling but I’ll have bulk deals.
