My lasius latipes lost all her hosts in hibernation except her lone biological worker. I don't have any more hosts, so my plan is to keep her in the fridge until may when the wild lasius wake up or at the very least until my captive lasius queens get their nanitics. Is it safe to keep a queen in hibernation for at least 7 months?

more than 5 months isn't safe/healthy for the most sp.(except for sp. like camponotus herculeanus that hibernates up to 6 months)

For ants from Winnepeg, that length of time is probably pretty standard. You could always wake her for a bit and give her an opportunity to rebuild her energy stores.
