hi guys,

So in my area there have been some recent power outages. If this happens to my house the mini fridge I am keeping the ants in for hibernation will shut off. I was wondering what I should do if this happens. Any suggestions.

thanks in advance

It’ll be just like when the weather warms up during winter. In my area, we frequently get up to 70 deg in the middle of winter. Don’t sweat it. Keep in mind that Tetramorium don’t need hibernation anyway.

yup. no problem. as antdrew said, they will treat it like a warm day. this happened to my tetramorium a ton this year, and they are fine.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
