lol my permit covers California as well and the fact I have a almost 30 species permit should show I’m not sketchy but I will change itYou should really change your location from nor cal, it makes you look sketchy

Well just because you say you have a permit doesn't make it not sketchy. For all we know you could be lying. Also, you said the whole genus but now you say almost 30 species. That's pretty sketchy right there.
Pheidole has over 1,000 species. You can not get a permit for that many species.

Even if you mean US Pheidole, there are a lot more than 30.

🤦♂️ my permit it self has 27 species one of the listed species is Pheidole sp (as in any any from the genus that’s endemic to the USA foumd in those states .and how is it sketchy if I say I have the buyer would get to see it whether they asked to see it it would be provided as well as shipping papers printed from usda aphis epermitsWell just because you say you have a permit doesn't make it not sketchy. Like if you as a seller weren’t sketchy you’d demand to see permit right??so all sketchy stuff would come out right in the open

I apologize I did not see that you would show the papers. I assumed you wanted us to trust you based on just you saying you had the permit.

The sad thing is most kids or younger people in the ant community do this....your guilty until proven innocent....when it should be innocent until proven guilty especially when it’s all laid out int he post ....deal with this all to often in the ant community

I do find it interesting that they would issue a permit for something as vague as Pheidole sp. Generally permits must be issued for specific species and not just a blanket permit for an entire genus. How is it they issued such an open ended permit?

interesting yes...but did they issue such a vague permit...also yes .and someone within the Usda helped push my permits through and waived my containment review so that helped a lotI do find it interesting that they would issue a permit for something as vague as Pheidole sp. I’m not sure I ever showed you this drew it just got granted todayYeah I thought the Pheidole spp. thing was strange too when he showed me this a while back.

But I would assume the main reason is that genus is so huge and probably still undiscovered species even in the USA along with some being hard to differentiate.but that part of the permit still only Apply’s to endemic to the us Pheidole so if I came across megas I would still not be able to collect even though my permit sais Pheidole sppYeah I thought the Pheidole spp. thing was strange too when he showed me this a while back.

Oh I'm thinking of the permit you showed me when you moved. I thought I remember seeing an spp. on that one too then.
