Found this cricket in my backyard last night. The dude must have been, like, really old cause it wasn't jumping or even moving when I got close to it to take the picture.  :/

The cool thing is that I made my own light diffuser based off of a tutorial by CatsnAnts. I can't believe how well it works considering that its made 100% out of card stock, aluminum foil and Scotch tape. Here is the link- https://www.formicul...graphy-methods/

Sorry for getting off topic, here is the pic:

CatsnAnts is the man! I wish he’d come out of hibernation soon.

A Cellar spider (Pholcidae?) I found on my wall. I found one of these guys the other day missing its entire abdomen, and it was walking around just fine. Kinda scared me tbh.

Any discussion related to macro photography you say? Well, take this.

Has it ever annoyed you when you saw some Crayola markers with different colored caps on? No? Well it annoyed me enough to replace them with the correct ones like a decent human being. While doing so, I had found that one of the markers had been starting to grow mold. So of course I took a picture of it. duh.

Cholla is a type of cacti that are native to the southwestern US, and when dried out, can look quite different. I collected a few sticks/branches of these while visiting Joshua Tree a while ago. Cool to see the intricate structure of the Cholla's skeleton close up like that.

Some kind of beetle larva or something similar. I found it under a small rock in my garden.
