I got an automatic response back. They have so much interest that there is a backlog in responding to emails. That's a good problem to have. Good thing they have at least four months before any work can be done.

This is really cool, esp. that noobs like me don't have to identify the bug.

Honestly I had walked around thinking carpenter bees were bumblebees until fairly recently.  :facepalm:


Formiculture Journals::

Veromessor pergandei, andrei; Novomessor cockerelli

Camponotus fragilis; also separate journal: Camponotus sansabeanus (inactive), vicinus, laevigatus/quercicola

Liometopum occidentale;  Prenolepis imparis; Myrmecocystus mexicanus (inactive)

Pogonomyrmex subnitidus and californicus (inactive)

Tetramorium sp.

Termites: Zootermopsis angusticollis

 

Isopods: A. gestroi, granulatum, kluugi, maculatum, vulgare; C. murina; P. hoffmannseggi, P. haasi, P. ornatus; V. parvus

Spoods: Phidippus sp.

We’ve still got a foot of snow on the ground so this might be a bit premature but, has anyone gotten anything else from the survey group?
