My friend in Spain is holding a contest on his YouTube channel.  One winner will receive a $500 AUD gift card for use on the Ant Keeping Depot (AKD) website, which is home to hundreds of brand name ant keeping products, including Tar Heel Ants, byFormica, Aus Ants, and more!

 

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.  The contest for the AKD gift card is open to all international participants, where allowed by law.

 

How to enter:

Go to the following website and start by entering your first name, last name, and email address.  Then, complete the actions on the contest site to increase your number of entries.  Entering a working email address is extremely important, as you will be notified by email if you are a winner.  Delivery of the gift card will be electronic--no shipping is necessary.

I feel as though we may be jumping to conclusions on this one a bit, does anyone actually have any solid evidence aside from no winner video? It could have just as easily been some internal conflict between the sponsors. Not to mention, this is a Spanish speaking channel we are speaking about. I find it extremely hard to believe anyone here casually watches this persons videos; it could easily have been explained on another social media platform, or even addressed in a previous video(just a section of it, not an entire video dedicated to the topic) and few members of the english speaking community would be made aware of it.

He apparently did announce a winner through a YouTube livestream, but never kept the video public.  So if you did not attend the livestream, you would not have noticed it ever happened.

 

I find it interesting that it is unlisted.  In my experience, content creators would always keep streams up, whether it's an unedited version or edited to profit off of further.  And I would expect someone to stay consistent with the platform they've used to announce a giveaway winner instead of switching; that's where all the participants will be flocking to keep track of things.  

 

I've followed his channel since the competition and none of the videos mentioned the giveaway that I remember.  So this is my mistake for never getting a notification that he streamed the event.

Hi! I'm sorry for any confusion you may have had. I leave this message to clarify any misunderstandings caused. The winners of the giveaway were made through a livestream on my YouTube channel on January 5, 2021 (the ending date specified on the video and the giveaway bases).

 

The reason that the livestream is not public is because I never leave the public my livestreams once it is finished. This I do, mainly, because I want to maintain a certain channel structure that is more... "documentary" style. Even so, the livestrean can be accessed through the "Sorteos" playlists. All the winners were contacted privately and have already received their corresponding prizes.

 

Surely the execution has not been the best and from these things you learn to continue improving. I have never intended to scam as it has been implied here, since at this point the giveaways do not provide me any benefit, just the opposite, and I do it simply to reward my followers for their support and to help a few people to keep ants.

 

I hope I have clarified the doubts,
