Best barrier for Temnothorax

I’m wanting to hear from people who keep or have kept Temnothorax (Acorn ants).
In your experience what barriers work for a vertical surface (outworld without a lid). I have only used fluon and I’ve heard they may be able to cross it. I’ve also heard mixed results on talcum (baby) powder and petroleum jelly (Vaseline).

They basically are so small olive oil would not work because they would drown, vaseline may work, but floun would probably be best.

I stick with Vaseline for temnothorax.
