Please tell me if you find anything out. If you find any next year I'll take them. One of my favorite ants. Sadly my hopes of getting them are very low.
Veromessor pergandei
Veromessor andrei
Crematogaster sp.
Pogonomyrmex cf cali and rugosus
Various Pheidole
C. yogi
Sometimes I go find Nurb's post about them so I can stare at the pic of one of the majors he found and dream of owning them. I feel like I'd have to drive super far to get them.

I sad now
There is a thread about finding colobopsis here: https://www.formicul...issisippiensis/
In my opinion, your best options are to snap twigs and use a blacklight in areas with records, as colobopsis are night fliers and often come to lights.
I don't think they are anywhere near me.

From what I've heard, their flights take place in spring and fall at night. The only experience I have with them is catching a gasterless queen at 4 PM in late September.
