Well I think I made a topic like this I'm not sure I kind of don't remember but I have a problem and the title kind of sums it up. Yesterday I traded my Camponotus subbaratus colony for a Trachymyrmex sept colony. It was supposed to be a 4 queen colony but had 3, supposed to have 20 workers but had 5, and the colony had no fungus at all. I tried to talk to him but he blocked me on discord and I am very angry. I don't care about the 4th queen or anything but I really need fungus for my colony so I at least don't lose my Camponotus colony in vain and I really want to keep them. If you have any spare fungus even like the tiniest bit and a few workers and brood it would help me so much please!

I admit i talked to the seller and told him to do 3 queens so the trade would be more fair (trachy is hard to get) but i also told him to give you most of the workers and fungus. What a jerk

The scammer was laddered/desired on discord. Stay away guys.

First off, be absolutely sure that there's no fungus. Even in the southeast Trachymyrmex will need to hibernate, and for hibernation they will shrink their fungus to just a few tiny pellets that are able to be carried by the workers. My own colony is preparing for hibernation and their fungus is shrinking rapidly. I can send you some, but it will likely be ready to hibernate within a few weeks. Alternatively I could send you Acromyrmex fungus, which can be tended to by the Trachymyrmex no problem (I have tested it) and won't hibernate, although it could cause an issue if the ants themselves decide they want to hibernate. Either way, this is a bit of a difficult situation since shipping times will likely be delayed due to black friday/cyber monday, not to mention that even with regular 2 day shipping I'm doubtful the fungus could survive without at least a few workers to tend to it.

You should ask this guy too: https://www.instagra...s_camera_ants/
I remember he had (or still has) a ton of Trachymyrmex colonies.
