Hey there! First off I'm new to this forum, but I do have a few ideas in my head about some formicaria as well as anyone else that wants to talk about them here. If you want to talk then you're welcome, but don't be toxic this is my first post :3

Welcome! I think you'll find the vast majority of members here are helpful and friendly. For formicarium ideas, I recommend looking through the archives to see all the great things people have made in the past. You don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Hey welcome to the expensive but very fun hobby of ant keeping! a lot of people make formicariums on here for there own because a lot of companies are to expensive especially for their quality but tarheelants is worth it and everyone here praises them. I have made some of my own nests and they have worked pretty nicely. if you want some ideas you can pm me.

I don't know it seems complicated to me, if your new to ant keeping then be prepared for many, many, many mistakes. not exactly with the ants but with building a nest for them.

I might be asking this because I'm dumb but are the layers stacked on top of each other or are they on separate areas in a container? Most formicaria have the outworld and nesting space separate while yours looks like it's all on one area without any walls or barriers.

There is a wall that separates the lower nesting area from the outworld

Welcome to Formiculture!

If you can pull off making that formicarium, I think it could actually be really really cool...  What materials are you planning on making it from?
