Hey I am giving a C. vicinus colony with about 6-8 workers to my teenage cousin. Camponotus aren't my specialty but do any of you guys have any tips. Thanks,

its winter so just leave them alone for 3 months

They are the lower elevation. I believe they don't go into hibernation. That is what I was told.

Even if they are lower elevation winter will bring a period of inactivity, unless they were from far socal.

I just asked the seller and all they said was that they were from SOUTH and they don’t need hibernation.

They don't need fridge hibernation.
You technically should still take them off heat and ignore them.
