We only have A versicolor here. To my knowledge they can fly (according to Drew's chart) in September to October. The prime time is August.

ahh oof
We have Cyphos too.
Veromessor pergandei
Veromessor andrei
Crematogaster sp.
Pogonomyrmex cf cali and rugosus
Various Pheidole
C. yogi
Oh yeah. Forgot about cyphos.
We have Acromyrmex and cyphos both fly July-Oct
Use the flight chart that drew made. It's easy to find using the search bar.
Drew's chart is the way to go.

does anyone know what habitats the cyphos are likely to be found around? (eg. grassland, forests, muddy/very moist places, etc)
No idea. I've never hunted for cyphos.
I've found some in very dry scrub areas.

Dry scrub and oak forest, maybe border grassland. I wouldn't recommend them until you get some experience under your belt, or any fungus grower for that matter.

dry areas, desert type. Trees and scrub areas. You can find queens acting like workers or alates. I caught a queen acting like a worker once lol

Not necessarily fertilized though, myrmicines are famous for clipping the wings of leftover alates and using them as workers.
