so as some of u guys know, i recently caught two polistes queen wasps. I've been calling them the “blue box queen” and the “black box queen”. i need them to have real names, but i am terrible at naming things. someone suggest name for them :P

and they have individual personalities if that helps

blue box queen-

aggressive, doesn’t like me or anyone near her hibernation box, flashes her stinger and snaps her jaws at me often, likes to hibernate hanging vertical on the walls of her blue kritter keeper

black box queen-

chill, doesnt mind me, does her own thing, likes to sit on flowers, likes to hibernate in little crevices in her black kritter keeper

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
